A REMINDER FOR PARENTS TO REMIND THEIR CHILDREN OF STRANGER DANGER
NAPERVILLE–At approximately 3 p.m. today, March 11, Naperville Police responded to a report of an 11-year-old boy being approached by a man in a van and offered candy and a ride while he was walking northbound on Washington Street near North Avenue. The child made it safely home and reported the interaction to his family, who called police. The Naperville Police Department is still investigating this incident and have no other description or information to provide at this time, but would like to remind parents to please speak to their children about stranger danger so they know how to appropriately respond to such situations.
