“BLUE GOOSE HAS GIVEN ST. CHARLES EVERYTHING IT HAS TO GIVE” SAID OWNER
ST. CHARLES-In a video statement posted in social media earlier Friday evening, the owner of Blue Goose Market, Paul Lencioni announced that the century-old St. Charles grocery store will be closing for good in the coming weeks. It reads:
”After nearly a century as St. Charles’ oldest family owned business, Blue Goose Market will be closing.
Since 1928, Blue Goose Market has proudly served the families of our community. It has not always been easy, but it has been our pleasure to bring you better living through food.
From your Sunday morning family donut runs, to bike rides to the brat stand on a gorgeous summer day, to baking your celebration cakes and helping stock your holiday tables, being a part of your family’s traditions has been an honor throughout the years. We hope all of those memories take up a special place in your hearts for years to come.
We know that you all will keep the True Blue spirit alive & well in our community because we know just how special St. Charles is to all of us.
In the coming days, we hope you can stop in and say thank you and “see you around” to our wonderful team, who are the heart of our store.
From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you a happy and healthy future. 💙”
The grocery store is loved by many and will most certainly be missed.
