SAYING GOODBYE | Tragic Accident Takes the Life of 26 Year Old Naperville Resident



HUNTER JOHNNIC PASSED AWAY UNEXPECTEDLY

As reported at SafetyWatch.com, a Naperville man lost his life in a fatal multi-vehicle crash that took place in I-55 earlier this week. He was a 2013 graduate of Naperville Central High School and worked as a Graphic Artist. The incident occurred on the evening of Monday, October 5. It was reported to the authorities around 6:30 p.m. The deceased victim was identified as Hunter G. Johnnic, 26.


His obituary reads:


Hunter Gray Johnnic, age 26, a lifetime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2020 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on September 6, 1994 in Naperville.


Hunter is survived by his loving parents, Ken and Dawn Johnnic; his sister, Kelcy Johnnic and his twin brother, Austin Johnnic; his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Carol Johnnic; his aunts and uncles, Craig (Ina) Johnson, Penny (Joel) Peterson, Susan (Michael) McGee, Kevin (Jorie) Johnnic and Michael Johnnic; as well as many cousins, friends and his faithful Pomeranian “Monica.” He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Patricia Johnson, and his cousin, Rebecca Berg.


Hunter was a graduate of Naperville Central High School, Class of 2013. He was a very talented graphic artist and truly enjoyed his work. He always held a strong work ethic and was a dedicated and caring employee. Known by all for his creativity, loyalty and heart.


In lieu of flowers, Hunter's family is asking for donations to be made in his name to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a cause Hunter was passionate about and advocated awareness for. Donations can be made in memory of Hunter at afsp.org/give-a-gift.


Visitation: Saturday, October 10th 2:00-6:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St. Naperville, IL 60540.
