OLD VACANT SCHOOLS TO BECOME NEW AFFORDABLE APARTMENTS
AURORA-The City of Aurora recently approved an agreement with Visionary Ventures to turn the former Todd and Lincoln Elementary Schools in West Aurora School District 129 into affordable workforce housing.
The new Fox Valley Apartments will encompass the two former school sites and include a mix of 47 studio, and one-, two- and three-bedroom units for tenants making between $18,000 up to $63,000 a year, depending on family size.
In addition, Todd School will also house a new medical facility operated by VNA Health Care to serve West Aurora School District families. The medical facility will be led by a physician serving as medical director and staffed with Illinois licensed, registered or certified health professionals. VNA will provide primary care medical services, mental health services, healthwww.urbanechoshop.com screenings and health education promotion.
