Grow Wellness Group in Naperville Seeks to Integrate Mind, Body & Spirit for Restoration and Peace with the Opening of Grow Well Yoga + Barre + Fitness

NAPERVILLE–Grow Wellness Group Therapy & Counseling in Naperville, in Chicago’s western suburbs has announced the opening of Grow Well Yoga, Barre & Fitness in welcoming new studios in Fifth Avenue Station at 200 East Fifth Avenue, just north of Naperville’s Downtown.

“We know there is a strong mind-body connection. There is myriad of scientific research that supports the effectiveness of yoga in enhancing mental well-being,“ says Wendy Hayum-Gross, Counselor and Co-Owner of Grow Wellness Group. “As a practice, we are dedicated to helping people find a sense of peace and fulfillment. We see Grow Well Yoga as a way we can provide greater access to emotional health through a variety of approaches.”

“We are the only area counseling practice that has embraced the body, mind, spirit concept in quite this way,” says Adam Ratner, Counselor, Founder and Co-Owner of Grow Wellness Group. “It’s so important to us that Grow Well Yoga, Barre & Fitness be integral to our ability to serve that we are donating all proceeds to the Grow Wellness Foundation, a non-profit providing fee assistance and pro-bono services to underserved populations. We strongly believe that wellness should not be an economic privilege and will do everything within our control to remedy that in the communities we serve. ”

The new offerings are designed for anyone seeking peace and restoration. “We often talk with our clients about movement and nutrition to enhance their cognitive and emotional health. This addition celebrates every individuals’ ability to benefit from movement and celebrates all bodies. We have no mirrors - we don’t want to encourage body dysmorphia,” Hayum-Gross explains. “Stress, anxiety, fatigue, depression and lack of focus are not all in your head - they can manifest in the body. The head is connected to the body after all - they are not operating in isolation. The benefit of Grow Well Yoga, Barre and Fitness can be preventive or restorative, and we can all use that,” she says.

Grow Well Yoga, Barre and Fitness seeks to share the integration of body and mind that invites balance, peace and wellness. The studio offers various styles of yoga, including gentle Hatha Yoga with meditation, Vinyasa Flow, strengthening Barre Yoga and relaxing Restorative Yoga as well as traditional Barre classes for all fitness levels.

Barre is a low-impact exercise that delivers similar benefits to yoga, including increased flexibility, improved posture & body alignment, and activated core muscle groups. Barre combines ballet-inspired with functional strength exercises and dynamic stretching.

Studio manager Mary Ellen Taylor is a certified yoga instructor and yoga therapist, clinical hypnotist and Reiki Master. “The word Yoga means ‘unity,’ so we see yoga practice as bringing together mind, body and spirit, as well as bringing together people for health and healing in a safe and welcoming environment,” she offers. “When we strengthen the body, when we take time to rest, we build a sense of confidence and self-acceptance. This is an invitation to begin a journey of becoming. Our instructors are here to encourage that journey in whatever way works for you.”

Mary Ellen Taylor, C-IAYT, YA-ERYT 500 also offers Yoga Therapy through Grow Wellness Group Therapy & Counseling located in the same building as Grow Well Yoga.
