NAPERVILLE–On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at approximately 4:36 p.m., Naperville Police Department officers and detectives responded to the 2900 block of Stonewater Drive for a report of a burglary in progress. Arriving officers entered the residence and discovered that the suspect was not inside. Preliminary investigation revealed the suspect may have gained entry through an unlocked first floor window.

Surveillance video of the incident aided police in quickly identifying a suspect. Detectives and officers responded to the residence of the suspect where he was taken into custody. Suspected proceeds and other evidence were also recovered at that time.

ARRESTED

Johnny Lee Robinson III (pictured), 29, of the 2900 block of Stonewater, Naperville, IL is charged with one felony count of residential burglary and has since been transferred to the Will County Jail.

The Naperville Police wish to remind the public and the news media that a charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
