Golf Event a Part of the 2024 Brooks Tournament Series
Local women golfers gathered at Springbrook Golf Course on Monday, August 19 for friendly competition at the 2024 Springbrook Women’s Invitational. This event is a continuation of the 2024 Brooks Tournament Series, presented by Woody Buick GMC. Female amateur golfers ages 18 years or older with an official USGA certified handicap were eligible to participate. Golfers partnered up and played in an 18-hole best-ball format, and the lowest team score after 18 holes was declared the winner. The top teams are as follows:

Flights were determined by total team handicap. Sonia Burgess and Mary Ellen Martin were declared the champions of the tournament after earning a gross score of 70. Additionally, Nadine Hummel and Pam Demaine earned the lowest net score with 65.

The next event in the 2024 Brooks Tournament Series is the Glen Ekey Senior Amateur Championship set for Wednesday, August 21 and Thursday, August 22.
