HOME IS WHERE THE HEARTH IS
NAPERVILLE–Like the holiday season, Vasilis is all about family, food, laughter and Love. In fact, Vasilis is lovingly named after the creator’s father-in-law Bill, aka “Papou Vasili”, and the recipes are all handed down through multiple generations. The moment you step into Vasilis you will appreciate the warm and inviting ambiance. With its Mediterranean-inspired décor you will feel right at home.
Every time I come to Vasili’s I always order my two favorite starters for the table. The Vasilis chips, which are lightly fried zucchini and eggplant served with tzatziki sauce, and the Trio of spreads. Vasili’s has some of the best taramasalata, htipiti and hummus, but you can’t go wrong with any of the spreads as they all pair perfectly with the warm pita!
The Gyros plate and the Souvlaki are two classics you will find to be so delicious. With Lamb being such a central component of many Greek meals, I encourage you to try the Paidakia, which are Australian lamb chops. And lastly, the star of the menu is the Feta Brined Chicken. Its roasted Amish chicken with crispy shallots, charred lemon and dodoni feta. Their sides pair well with all their meals and are perfect for sharing. The roasted potatoes and broccolini being my favorites. A dinner like this would not be complete without dessert. We suggest a Baklava Cannoli or to share an order of Loukoumades, which are Greek donuts with honey and beyond delightful.
Achieving excellence in the culinary world involves a combination of factors, from sourcing quality ingredients to meticulous preparation and outstanding customer service and this is exactly what Vasilis delivers every visit!
Vasilis is perfect for brunch, lunch, dinner, or anytime you want to surround yourself with family and friends. As they say at Vasili’s, Home Is Where The Hearth Is. Welcome to our table. –Mila Vardiani
