BATAVIA–Inspiration for Nicki Elson's latest "spicy romance with a sweet and dreamy center" struck while she was pulling weeds in her Batavia, IL garden. "I guess all that dirt inspired me to set the story on a farm," the author says. The rolling hills of her uncle's dairy farm in Union Grove, Wisconsin provided further inspiration.
"The story starts with Molly having her world turned upside down," Elson explains. "People get to see what they're really made of when they've got to climb out of a bad situation. I toss a few bad situations at my characters throughout the story, but overall, the tone is bright and hopeful. I think it's more important than ever to try to hold onto that kind of attitude."
