Education is Key for In-Home Healthcare Options
Jennifer Dexter brings years of professional experience to Assisting Hands Rockford, providing non-medical in-home healthcare in the privacy of a client’s home or Assisted Living Facility. In-home care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including overnight care. She continues to educate the community– as education is key when choosing in-home healthcare options.
Assisting Hands Rockford caregivers go through an extensive training program. Each is also connected to the healthcare community. This helps them provide further assistance with coordinating services. Thease include rehabilitation, assisted living, palliative care, hospice and even non-medical services such as financial, beauty salons, etc.
November Is an Important Time to Educate Veterans and their Families
November is a time to especially honor Veterans and provide care for these heroes, so Jennifer feels it’s important to continue educating the community.
“It is the highest honor for us to be able to care for our Veterans,” Jennifer shares. “We’re here to serve those that have put their lives on the line to protect us. It is our turn to help them, so we do this by providing education, resources, and guidance to help with the process to seek approval through the Veterans Affairs (VA). There are two programs they can assist with – the VA Homemaker program and the Aid & Attendance Benefit Program, so we can really help”
How We are Helping with Continued Education
This month, Assisting Hands will be doing presentations at assisted living facilities, as well as running sponsorships on local TV stations, such as WTVO, Fox 39, and Mystateline.com, educating Vets on the services they offer.
Assisting Hands Rockford also provides in-home care and individualized services to people of all ages, in many situations.
