CHICAGO – The new Castaways Club (formerly Castaways Bar & Grill) opened Memorial Day weekend and so far, so fabulous! Situated on North Avenue Beach (1603 N. Lakeshore Dr.), the boat-shaped seasonal restaurant has been a Chicago lakefront destination for over two decades. It reopened with a new name, enhanced look, elevated food and beverage offerings and additional seating as well as private event options.
The refreshed Castaways aims to bring the nostalgia, energy and excitement patrons knew and loved for many years with a modernized and fresh approach. The space includes revamped dining decks, bar areas, patio space and multiple cabanas available for rent and private events. Although the North End Club will be reserved for patrons 21+, Castaway’s is still family-friendly in the restaurant portion.
