THIS LOCAL MOM, HAIR STYLIST & EXTENSION SPECIALIST LOVES GOING TO WORK EACH DAY
GENEVA/CAROL STREAM–Born in Bulgaria, Silvena moved to the United States at 9 years old, graduated from Geneva High School in 2009 while concurrently attending cosmetology school at Cyndirella’s Academy of Style & Beauty in St. Charles. After graduating top of her beauty school, the owner of Hot Heads Salon in Geneva took her under her wing until Brandon and Allison purchased the site and rebranded it under their OS Salons, marking the Geneva location their OS2 Salon.
Now married with two children (ages 8 and 10), Silvena is a hairstylist and extension specialist who loves working at the family owned establishment with additional locations in Mahomet and Bloomington. She jokes that "A good stylist is cheaper than a good therapist" and always looks forward to going to work each day!
“This summer the bobs, texture, volume, curtain bangs are all super in,” she says. “This is definitely the time where it's all about embracing your hair's natural texture and making it extremely easy to style. Everyone is looking for an effortless look. The more simple the better. As far as hair color, anything goes”
Silvena personally loves customizing hair color for any individual that walks through the door ensuring that no one will ever have the same exact color as anyone else due to their specially formulated Aveda product line.
After spending time at the salon, Silvena enjoys her family time in downtown Geneva and can’t wait to check out the newest eateries such as The James, First Watch, and Hacienda Real.
