COVER STORY | 5 Beauty Influencers To Know

MEET THESE LOCAL RESIDENTS WHO ARE HELPING OTHERS WHILE FOLLOWING THEIR PASSION

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Glancer Magazine’s Beauty Influencers of 2020 captivate the most stunning qualities of all that is magnificent inside and out.

Kathi Buzinski | Glen Ellyn

Kathi became a stylist at 18, a business owner at 21, and thrives on staying fresh with the trends, such as being Ouidad certified. Her two daughters are her driving force to be a definitive role model and carry positive, warm energy from her home to her salon; thus resulting in women who feel confident, beautiful, and strong when they walk out the door.

As a Glen Ellyn resident and business owner, she feels proud to be a local who supports locals. She believes that pampering oneself is the core of overall wellness and that true beauty lies in life’s balancing act – family, fun, and the foundation of good work ethic; and when life throws her a curve ball, she finds peace with her furry dog pal.

Crystal Krueger | St. Charles

When Crystal was younger, she suffered from facial hair and struggled with finding permanent solutions to alleviate her feelings of embarrassment; so, she put herself through electrolysis trade school and opened her own salon, Simply Crystal Electrolysis & Skin Care in St. Charles. She loves helping others feel strong mentally and physically while finding solutions that make them feel beautiful in their own skin and confident within themselves.

After struggling with many health issues over the years, Crystal knows the value of taking care of your body inside out and believes in Farmhouse Fresh skin care products that are vegan, organic, and gluten free. She also believes in surrounding yourself with good people and appreciates her husband, grown children, and amazing clients.

Tairi Grace | Yorkville

As a licensed clinical social worker and the owner of Grace Holistic Center for Education and Sense of Samadhi in Yorkville, Tairi believes beauty is emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual. She self-reflects daily to be mindful of the energy that she is translating to those around her. Her goal is to live a life like the late Ram Dass and treat everyone equally regardless of their beliefs or background.

Tairi is a strong believer that the mind-body connection and mind-body techniques such as yoga and meditation have paved the way as a proactive wellness technique helping with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders; as well as increases flexibility and strength allowing a person’s true beauty to shine from the inside out.

Positivity, mindfulness, and self-care are the foundation of beauty.

Laura Benarosch | Naperville/Geneva

Laura has been with Concierge Medical Spa for 7 years and active within the beauty industry for 15. She takes great pride in her extensive knowledge of all products and services through extensive research and knows whole heartedly that a happy girl is a beautiful girl, and self-love is extremely important.

Laura strongly believes if you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, you are confident. Laura is extremely passionate about educating individuals about whole beauty –inside and out- in order to build confidence and achieve goals.

She appreciates working for a company that shares this belief and is equally zealous about serving the community with charity events such as “Peels for donations to PAWS,” which support doing good for yourself while doing good for others.

Terry and Tami Abraham | Hinsdale

At 40 and 42 years old, Terry and Tami combined years of diverse business experience to open I Design Salon & Blow Dry Bar in Hinsdale. They strive each day to have a strong, positive impact in the community and the environment.

The beauty and personal fulfillment of their family life, inclusive of two adult children and a new granddaughter, translates to their professional life as they put their heart and soul into every detail from watching the beautiful transformation of a client and the immediate impact it has on them physically and emotionally; to supporting clients local charities such as, Wellness House in Hinsdale; the Angel Harvey Family Health Center of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago; and Teen Cancer America.

Salon to support - an ultimate beautiful experience.
