First Live Tour Announced for Longtime Comedians as they Celebrate 30 years of Friendship
Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are performing together again. The longtime friends and comedians are reuniting on the stage for a four-city comedy tour on the east coast this spring, they announced Monday. The Restless Leg Tour will be the duo's first joint live endeavor as they celebrate 30 years of friendship with "an evening of jokes, iconic stories and conversational entertainment," according to a press release.
"If this tour goes right, we can finally end this friendship!" the two joked in a statement.
Poehler, 51, and Fey, 52, met while performing in the Chicago improv scene in the '90s before they reunited in the early 2000s as "Saturday Night Live" cast members. Since then, they've made appearances in films together including "Mean Girls," "Baby Mama," "Sisters" and "Wine Country", and co-hosted the Golden Globes four times together.
"There's been many times where I feel like Tina was the only other person I could talk to about being the star and producer and writer of your own television show on NBC," Poehler previously told USA TODAY.
