INHERITED ARTISTIC TALENT BRINGS JOY TO LOCAL MOM
Naperville artist, Tami Kidd-Brown believes her artistic talent is an inherited trait as both of her maternal grandparents were artists, along with her mom, her aunts, her older sister, and now also her daughter, Rylee. Currently a student at North Central College working towards finishing her B.A. in Studio Art, she mostly enjoys painting in acrylics or gouache and drawing with colored pencils. “I particularly like portraiture, macro paintings and drawings of nature,” says Tami. “Seeing something I have in my head come to life on canvas or paper is my joy.”
Currently, Tami works as the Fine Arts Administrative Assistant at North Central College and works closely with tour managers and artists on their contract requirements leading up to and during their performances at the college. She also assists in event planning and set-up for the fine arts gallery.
Tami’s art has been shown and featured in several Naperville galleries and donated to many charity events. She has been happily married for 22 years, raised four children, and became a grandmother a year and a half ago. She is currently working on creating a website where her art can be viewed and purchased. -Mindy Kyle, Photos Submitted
