ARTISTS' CLASSICAL REALISM OIL PAINTINGS ARE TRULY BREATHTAKING
Glen Ellyn artist George Ceffalio is an award-winning artist whose Classical Realism oil paintings have been displayed in several local, regional and national exhibitions. “I would say my style resembles the Old Dutch Masters technique, especially Rembrandt, my favorite,” says George. “Most of the works are in the chiaroscuro style (the contrast of lights and darks).” He uses high-quality oil paints for their deep and vivid colors and likes to paint on wood panels for their quality and longevity.
George started taking classes at DuPage Art League in 2004 and ended up studying at Pallete & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago from 2005-2009. Besides creating and selling his own art, George has been teaching oil painting classes and workshops in the Chicago area for the past several years. He has been awarded “Best of Show” numerous times at his attended exhibitions and was featured in the 2009 Dream Home at the Merchandise Mart. His paintings have been commissioned by private and corporate collectors in both the United States and Canada.
“The painting process is what gives me the greatest joy,” says George. “I solve problems and focus on good design, luminosity and intensity of color.”
