April is here and it’s time to celebrate Spring around town! From shopping and dining delights in Naperville’s Water Street and along Main Street in Lisle, to specialty wine events being held in beautiful Oswego and Downtown Downers Grove– there’s so much to enjoy throughout the western suburbs. 1. Shop & Dine on Water Street
NAPERVILLE– Enjoy one of the hottest spots in Downtown Naperville! Nestled along the famed Riverwalk, Water Street invites you to shop, dine, stay, celebrate and play with some of the finest retailers, innovative restaurants, intimate and exciting Elements events venue and the renowned Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk.
2. Lively Fun on Hale Street

3. Sip & Shop on Main Street
DOWNERS GROVE–The return of the Annual Wine Walk in Downtown Downers Grove will be held on Thursday, April 28, 4:30-8:30pm. Shop, Sip and Stroll your way through the businesses for (15) 1oz tastings of wines, offered from the Cellar Door, and a variety of snacks at each location. In addition, your $35.00 includes a wine tumbler.
4. Shop on 4th Street
GENEVA–Get your fresh fix at the Geneva French Market. The market offers fresh produce, fresh flowers, baked goods, jewelry, handbags, and more to downtown Geneva in the Metra parking lot at Fourth and South streets. Bensidoun USA operates the market from 9am-2pm.
5. Enjoy Wine on Harrison Street
OSWEGO–Oswego’s traditional Wine on the Fox event presented by john greene Realtor, returns for its 16th year in picturesque Hudson Crossing Park along the river on Harrison Street! All ages are welcome, and the event is free and open to the public.
6. Shop Local on River Street
AURORA–Bringing more than a dozen local makers together for a one-of-a-kind indoor market, visit Society 57 at 100 S. River St. from 9 to noon on April 9 & 23 for Art & Market Aurora, sponsored by Aurora Downtown, a nonprofit of downtown business and property owners. SSA ONE 501(c)(4)
7. Beauty on Main Street
LISLE–A focal point of Downtown Lisle is the striking nature-themed fountain located at the entrance to the Garden Walk on the west side of Main Street. The unique fountain was inspired by the Frank Lloyd Wright “Falling Waters” development. www.villageoflisle.org
