GIVE BACK TO THESE LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS & HELP OUR YOUNGEST GENERATION IN NEED

West suburban Chicago is home to countless charitable organizations, and this month we wanted to shine a light on a few of them that have a focus of giving back to our youngest generation in need– children. From helping kids of families who are having a difficult time to ensuring local kids have what they need to start school, this month’s feature is close to our heart. Join us in giving back. Here are 7 Spectacular Local Children’s Charities to Love....


1. RISING LIGHTS PROJECT


GENEVA–Rising Lights Project is a registered 501(3)(c) dedicated to creating environments for individuals impacted by disability to learn, laugh, thrive, and engage with the Fox Valley Community.


2. OUR CHILDREN’S HOMESTEAD

3. GIGI’S PLAYHOUSE

AURORA–This volunteer-run organization creates Down syndrome awareness while supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families with programs that are vibrant, educational, fun and free!


4. DUPAGE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM

NAPERVILLE–Support the exploration as children create, build, discover, wonder, think, play, and more! Every visit is an adventure in fun and learning. DuPage Children’s Museum ignites the potential of all children to learn through hands-on exploration.


5. KIDZ KABARET

NAPERVILLE– Kidz Kabaret is Fair Lady Productions flagship program that introduces children and teens to theater. The organization holds the vision of “Every Child Center Stage” and every performance features all-youth casts, of all ages and abilities.


6. BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK

NAPERVILLE & BEYOND–This charity has chapters that mobilize communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for school-aged children across America who might otherwise go hungry.


7. INFANT WELLFARE SOCIETY

GENEVA–This group works through community service projects and fundraising efforts, to serve serve as an integral link between children in need and the community.
