2. Holiday Magic at Brookfield Zoo
BROOKFIELD–Now in its 40th year, get ready to visit Chicagoland’s largest and longest-running lights festival featuring over two million twinkling LED lights! 3. Find the Perfect Christmas Tree
AURORA– Abbey Farms invites you to join in the tradition of hunting for a locally grown Christmas trees this winter. Or, for those of you who would rather choose a precut tree, they always have a large inventory of fresh-cut fir trees. All of their precut trees come from a large Christmas tree operation in Michigan owned by Father Andrew’s family. While you wait, step inside the Nagel Farmstead Emporium for one of their famous apple cider donuts and hot chocolate. If there is snow on the ground, sleds are provided as you explore the farm. 4. Oswego Holiday Express
OSWEGO–The tradition returns this holiday season! All aboard to kiddos young and old, as the Oswegoland Park District presents the Oswego Holiday Express. Trolleys depart Santa Station the weekend of December 9-12 for the North Pole. Put on your pajamas, don your warmest apparel, and head to the top of the world on a magical journey. 5. Celebrate the Season Downtown Downers Grove
DOWNERS GROVE–It’s an exciting time of year downtown Downers Grove! Small Business Weekend will be held November 26-28. The Gingerbread House Contest will run November 26-December 5, and on display until December 11. The Gingerbread Man Hunt, Candy Cane Cash Rewards will be held throughout the holiday season with complimentary visits with Santa in his Gingerbread House Saturdays and Sundays 1-4pm.
