POLICE REMIND RESIDENTS TO WALK ON WELL-LIT PATHS & IN GROUPS WHEN POSSIBLE

Naperville Police responded to a report of an attempted robbery committed near the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Brainard Street just after 1am today, September 3.

A weapon was implied but never shown. No one was injured. Naperville Police arrested the offender a short time after the incident and charged him with aggravated robbery. No weapon was discovered.

The Police are taking this opportunity to remind residents to walk on well-lit paths and in groups, when possible, and, if confronted with an armed offender, to comply with all demands and do not do anything that would jeopardize your personal safety.
