HONORING THE GREATEST ROCK CONCERT OF ALL TIME
In conjunction with the Naperville Heritage Society’s 50th Anniversary, Naper Nights line-up in August honors the greatest rock concert of all time, Woodstock. To round off the final set in the series, Naper Settlement honors Woodstock’s anniversary with Soundtracks of a Generation on August 16, featuring the songs of Jefferson Airplane, Sly & the Family Stone, Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix, and more. The final concert on August 17 sends summer off with Rico, a Santana tribute, opening for The THE BAND Band, a The Band tribute.
There will be a variety of summertime eats, including vegetarian options, offered from local vendors Fat Rosie’s, John’s Rib House, Billy Brick’s Wood Fired Pizza, Black Rock, and more. Wine and beer selections will be available from Rodney Strong Vineyards and Bell’s Brewing, with Bell’s newest brew, Official, added to the offerings. Children’s activities from Pinot’s Palette, PRO Martial Arts, Players Indoor Sports Center, Chuck E. Cheese, and more will also be on site.
Each night, all tips collected at the beverage tent benefit a local organization. Tips on Friday benefit Naperville Woman’s Club and Saturday’s tips will go to A.D.O.P.T Pet Shelter.
