FRONTIER KITE FLY FESTIVAL TO KICK OFF SUMMER ON JUNE 2
Naperville Park District and KidsMatter will co-host the free, family-friendly event
Naperville Park District and KidsMatter will co-host the Frontier Kite Fly Festival and Kickoff to Summer, presented by The Branch. Kite enthusiasts from Chicago Kite will demonstrate expert kite flying and local talent will entertain the audience of all ages. Performers include Andrew Huber, Acoustic Guitarist/Songwriter; Scribble Monster, Children’s Music; Neuqua Valley High School Steel Band; Miss Jamie’s Farm, Children’s Music; and Scott Piner, Magic. The community is invited to attend.
A free event, the festival features opportunities to view gigantic kites, fly your own kite, purchase a kite, enjoy live music, sample from food trucks, and take part in youth activities such as skateboarding and an obstacle race with police and fire department participants. Unlimited inflatable jumping is available for children with purchase of a $5 wristband.
The festival takes place on Sunday, June 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Entertainment begins at 11:00 a.m. and the obstacle race begins at 12:00 noon.
The festival will be held at Frontier Sports Complex, located at 3380 Cedar Glade Drive.
