JT PATTEN Buried in Black, A Task Force Orange Novel NAPERVILLE–Naperville resident, JT Patten, wanted to create a series of books that was a hybrid of the more stereotypical military thrillers and espionage novels found on the bookshelves, and focus more on true-to-today’s intelligence-driven operations. With his graduate studies in counter terrorism, post-grad research in national intelligence and about a decade of working for national security as a global intelligence advisor for the government and special mission community, he is well qualified to bring a realistic take on the genre.
Following up his last series, Safe Havens, Sean Havens Black Op thrillers, JT’s latest book, Buried in Black, is the first in his Task Force Orange series. The story follows his protagonist, Drake Woolf, a special operative master of surveillance and technical intelligence on his assignments with the highly secretive Joint Special Operation’s Task Force Orange mission unit.
Woolf can always be relied on to carry out assignments and exterminate threats, but his latest mission has become personal. “Most of my characters are flawed and have been impacted by a life of conflict,” says JT. “The unpredictable nature of their personalities created many plot twists.” Buried in Black is available at Barnes and Noble in Naperville, on Audible, and through Amazon.com.
