OWNERS OF COMMON GOOD COCKTAIL HOUSE WITH A LOVE FOR GLEN ELLYN When Chad and Alicia made the decision to open a business together, they knew it would involve their whole family in a major life decision. Although they live in Logan Square, they wanted the suburbs for flexibility. They are two of the three co-owners at Common Good Cocktail House in Glen Ellyn and love bringing their daughter Genepy (2), and Beulah (3 months) to work with them weekly.
The Hauges care deeply about processing their whole lives with each other. They love the idea of their marriage, their family, their community, and their work being one entity they are nourishing all together.
They immersed themselves in the Glen Ellyn community by hiring local artists to design and embellish their space and thrive on Javi’s Burritos for energy during long work days and host morning work sessions at Blackberry Market.
Summer fun includes the Taste of Glen Ellyn and exploring the Morton Arboretum. They also take grand family trips, such as last summer’s month in France driving along the Côte d'Azur, and stopping in Menton to eat fresh seafood and pasta at a restaurant on the beach as the sun was setting.
