BENEFIT TO SUPPORT NON PROFIT FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC) announces its annual fundraising gala, Dancing with the Starz Benefit Gala, on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Dancing with the Starz is a local celebrity dancing competition and gala in DuPage County. Proceeds from this event will support the vital and necessary services DSCC provides to vulnerable older adults in DuPage County. Dancing with the Starz is an elegant evening featuring local celebrity dancers paired with professional dancers from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. “Beside the cocktail reception and dinner, we have a fabulous Live Auction followed by a professional dance performance for this year’s competition,” said Lisa Turano, Turano Baking Company and Event Chair. Guests can start voting for their favorite dancer immediately through DSCC’s website. Voting is also open for people who cannot attend the event. At the end of the night, guests’ votes and judges’ scores will be tallied to determine the winner of this year’s Mirror Ball Trophy. “Dancing with the Starz is the premiere gala event in DuPage County,” commented DSCC Executive Director Marylin Krolak. “But it is more than just a fun evening out – it is a way to help seniors who struggle with poverty and isolation to remain healthy and a vital part of the communities they helped build.” This year’s event will be held at The Westin Chicago Northwest in Itasca, IL. Individual tickets may be purchased for $125 each, and a variety of sponsorship packages are available for purchase. Please contact Tricia Fusilero at (312) 540-9300 or visit www.dupageseniorcouncil.org to purchase tickets, sponsor the event, or make a donation.
