TED DRES | Hinsdale Health Influencer to Know In 2019

AREA ENTREPRENEUR HELPS RESIDENTS REACH THEIR FITNESS GOALS

HINSDALE–Ted Dres, owner of Spark Fitness Hinsdale, thinks it is important to set an example for his clients in health and fitness at a high level. He meal preps and trains himself daily and has placed 1st, 1st and 2nd in the three physique competitions he has entered. He has been in the health and wellness industry for almost fifteen years and brings his expertise to the members of his semi-private personal training facility. An assessment is performed on each new client to create goals and measure progress.

Spark Fitness offers a variety of techniques that cater to each client’s needs and abilities, including high intensity interval training, strength training, core work, plyometrics, and agility and speed training. Ted believes an integral tool in the process is the use of heart rate monitors. Large screens in the studio help clients track their heart rate and level of intensity as well as calories burned. “If you need a quick work-out, your best choice is a 40-minute high-intensity interval training session,” says Ted.

Ted’s best advice to achieving fitness goals is consistency. “Consistency equals results,” says Ted. “You have to keep consistent in your weight training and conditioning sessions as well as consistent in meal prepping for 5-6 meals a day.” Ted’s favorite part of what he does is watching his clients reach their health and fitness goals while staying on-track. –Mindy Kyle, Photos by Mike Mantucca
