Zoo Year’s Eve at Brookfield Zoo NAPERVILLE–This New Year’s Eve, Brookfield Zoo invites families and friends to ring in 2019 at the annual Zoo Year’s Eve Celebration. Zoogoers can delight in Chicago’s longest-running lights festival, as well as a packed schedule of live entertainment and holiday-themed activities and attractions. LEGO® Train Show at Cantigny Saturdy & Sunday • Dec 8 & 9 WHEATON– The largest show of the year produced by the Northern Illinois LEGO® Train Club returns to Cantigny after a one-year hiatus due to park construction. Admission is free with paid parking ($5 per car). Parking is free for anyone donating a new and unwrapped toy for the Marine Toys for Tots drop boxes inside the Visitors Center. The Kids Will Love Having Fun Downtown Wheaton All Season Long..... WHEATON–From carriage rides to Santa visits, kids love Downtown Wheaton during the holidays. Each activity is available on Saturdays through December 22nd from 12pm to 3pm at Martin Memorial Plaza on Front Street. On December 1st there will be a feature performance by Jamie from the Farm at Martin Memorial Plaza from 10:30am to 11:30am and cookie decorating in the plaza from 10am to 12pm. An ice carving demonstration will take place at the plaza from 12pm to 3pm and Santa miniature train rides from 3pm to 6pm in the parking lot at Liberty and Main Street.
