DINING OUT IN KANE | Artsy Suburban Dining

KANE COUNTY – August brings dining ambiance and adventures to the forefront to find the most creative restaurants in town.

The vision behind Shakou Restaurant in St. Charles brings “city vibe” to the Suburbs through trendy Modern Asian Cuisine restaurants. The restaurant features stylish comfortable seating and cool colored lights bouncing off of carefully placed Asian art work accompanied by euphoric house beats subtly bumping in the background.

Join the Batavia Dinner Table on August 5th at The Woonerf-North River Street in Batavia and enjoy a shared table experience with your neighbors at on one looooooong table. The food is farm to table sourced from Batavia Farmers' Market Vendors prepared by Downtown Batavia restaurants and Chefs. Funds raised will be donated to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry.

Enter a time-warp where history meets modern and take dining to a new level when you join a Murder Mystery dinner experience hosted by Murder Mystery, Ltd. at The Oscar Swan Country Inn in Geneva. The Geneva Inn reflects an 18th century estate, now left with an 1836 barn, a corn crib, other farm buildings, and formal gardens with paths to untamed wilderness.

Treat Yourself to a Perfect Thursday Night and delight your taste buds with creative small plates that are fun to share while enjoying live music with your favorite spirit or brew at the Fishermen’s Inn - Mill House Patio Bar in Elburn. Indulge your senses in the beautiful gardens and grounds and soak up a casual and inviting atmosphere.

Enjoy art and creative dining experiences all month long! -Kristen Kucharski
