DINING OUT IN DUPAGE | Healthy Summer Dining

WESTERN SUBURBS – This July, we are focusing on the wellness of our bodies and are lucky to have some great restaurants and eateries in the west suburbs supporting healthy living without sacrificing your favorites like pasta, meat, and ice cream!

Start the day out right with baked goods from Manna Organics, LLC in Lisle, a family owned and operated bakery with vegan, kosher, organic, gluten-free, and carefully hand-made bread products. Manna is also home to organic nut butters, raw organic trail mixes, artisan sourdough breads, organic Kale Chips and organic ingredients.

Enjoy lunch or dinner, in either Geneva or Wheaton, at Gia Mia’s chef-driven, farm-to-fork food concepts such as Neapolitan style wood-fired pizzas, creative small plates, fresh homemade pasta, antipasto, and hand-made mozzarella, as well as gluten free options.

If you are more of a meat kind of person, St. Charles and Glen Ellyn are home to Muscle Maker Grill for fitness enthusiasts and people trying to eat better while on-the-go. Providing “Great Food with Your Health in Mind,”™ Muscle Maker Grill’s menu features items with grass-fed steak and all-natural chicken, as well as options that satisfy an array dietary preferences from vegetarians to the low-carb consumer and guests following a gluten-free diet.

Hot on the allergy conscious dessert list is dairy free frozen treats at Frost Gelato in Naperville. Their sorbets are made with only the highest quality fresh fruit and juices creating clean and refreshing fat-free sorbets using purified water and true natural ingredients. Yum! -Kristen Kucharski
