TEEN TIME | Geneva BFFs Share on Friendship & Being Sisters

BFF Sisters, Kane County, Glancer Magazine

SISTERS & BFFs WHO SHARE SO MUCH GENEVA– There’s an old saying, “Because I have a sister, I’ll always have a friend”. Izzy McFadden (17) and her sister Mia (14) are fortunate to know this all too well. The pair considers each other their truest and most dedicated best friend even though Izzy attends Geneva High School and Mia attends Geneva Middle School South.

“Both Middle school and High School can be demanding for social and academics, we both lean on each other in both situations,” Izzy says. “The best part of being close with my sister is knowing that we will be forever connected and share life experiences for a long time to come.”

They have enjoyed cheering together at Cheer Alliance in St. Charles, surfing in Puerto Rico and Southern California, eating together at Livia in Geneva, and water activities at Heritage Harbor in Ottawa; but most of all, they are so proud of forming Humanateen as a team.

HumanaTeen, a non for profit, was created to bring together teens who want to make an imprint on the world through service, fundraising, and outreach by supporting causes, communities and events worldwide. “We have raised money for insulin to Puerto Rico, purchased gifts and needs for a Friends of KCAC family, and just took a group of our friends to Chicago to hand out essential needs bags to the homeless,” Izzy says.
