RON HAIN ANNOUNCES RUN FOR KANE COUNTY SHERIFF Innovative Programs are the Key to Law-Enforcement Success SUGAR GROVE–Decorated Sheriff’s Sergeant, Ron Hain, officially announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for Kane County Sheriff May 18 outside the Regional Office of Education at 28 N. First Street in Geneva.
“As a lifelong resident, I can state without reservation that Kane County is a great place to raise a family,” Hain said, “Now I want to give back to the community that’s given so much to me by serving as your Sheriff.” Hain will cover his platform and dynamic initiatives at the press conference, including:
1. Innovative criminal apprehension programs 2. Restructuring the Public Safety Division to better serve a 21st century community 3. An already active Skills to Jobs Program to reduce the re-incarceration rate 4. Substance abuse referral programs to break the cycle of addiction
“In 18 years of countywide law-enforcement, I’ve learned what works and what doesn’t work,” Hain said, “Not only are these initiatives and programs effective, but they make it easier on the taxpayer too!” Hain lives in Sugar Grove with his wife Amy of 19 years and two middle school children. “Ron has dreamed of serving as Kane County Sheriff since he was four years-old,” Amy said, “Our family wholeheartedly supports his commitment to public service and I look forward to serving as his campaign chairman.” “Hain for Kane!” Amy added.
