The 18th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade Set for Saturday, March 11, 2017

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership Extends Deadline for Parade Entries and Volunteers

ST. CHARLES – The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is extending its acceptance for entries in the 18th annual St. Patrick’s Parade, which will take place on Saturday, March 11 at 2:00pm on Main Street in St. Charles. The new deadline for parade entries will be Friday, February 26. The Downtown St. Charles Partnership will also be accepting volunteer applications up to the date of the parade. Local businesses, community groups, and non-profits are encouraged to participate. Those that wish to participate must complete an Entry Form, obtain a Certificate of Insurance, sign off on the Rules and Regulations, and return the documents along with the appropriate entrance fee, if required, to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership office no later than Friday, February 17. The Entry fee is $250 for businesses, $125 for DSCP Members, and free for non-profit organizations. This year, some of the entertainment includes the Dundee Scottish Pipe Band, Tunes of Glory Pipe Band and an all time favorite, The South Shore Drill Team! The parade will also include floats, school groups, pre-schools, service clubs, and more.

Businesses looking to have a sponsored element in the parade and receive recognition through marketing and promotions are encouraged to immediately contact the Downtown St. Charles Partnership. Volunteers are also in need to help with parade day execution. All Parade Entry, Sponsorship, and Volunteer information is available on the event webpage at http://www.downtownstcharles.org/stpats.
