Swinging from the Ceiling

We have driven to Indiana and Wisconsin to take advantage of sky-high rope courses; and now, thanks to Main Event Warrenville, which recently opened in the western suburbs, we only have to drive a few minutes. Open 365 days a year, there is never a bad time to bring the family and burn off some energy, especially in these colder months. From the little ones (at least 48” inches tall) to the teens of the group, everyone had a great time testing the high ropes adventure course, which felt like we were quite literally swinging from the ceiling.

Even the cosmic bowling offered a unique twist with four different animated scoring themes, allowing the gang to take selfies for a YouToons cartoon effect that responded to the talent (or lack thereof) they displayed on the bowling lane; or allowing the little people to take advantage of Mad Games, specifically designed for the younger generation. I am not sure if the kids had more fun watching the thematic personalized cartoons or bowling in the dark! We all loved the multi-level laser tag arena, which can accommodate 30-40 people at a time, ranging in all ages and all sizes, making for an extremely interactive and competitive game with 3-tier laser beams and multiple hiding spots.

The ginormous arcade had unique electronic games, including my personal favorites, air hockey and arm wrestling; and with free billiards most days of the week, free Wi-Fi, a full restaurant and bar, plus 10+ television screens playing all the best of college and national games – even Dad is sure to love this place! The Main Event is modern, clean, and a building bursting with ultimate fun. With specials running on any given day from unlimited combo passes to $5 unlimited all-day activities, the fun and my budget easily came together on this adventure.
