Blending Art, Community, and Heart in Every Creation, Julie Norkus
ST. CHARLES–Married with two grown daughters, Julie has been a self-employed artist for twenty years and is incredibly passionate about her creations. Having studied Art, Interior Design and Business in college, Julie has completed countless art commissions, plus creates a line of curated home decor items at JulieNorkus.com and sells locally at Trend and Relic.
Her love of vintage inspires her easy going style as she keeps her art fresh, on trend and not too serious. Hosting workshops within the community fuels Julie, and donating art products and art lessons to local nonprofits, to be used as auction items, fills her soul.
“I try to pack my day with a variety of things for a well-rounded life, but as I got older, I realized there was more than just checking off the basic boxes of life,” she shares. “To have a heart for others completed my circle.”
Always being mindful to carve out time to plug into the vast volunteering opportunities in the local area, Julie loves working with Radical Love, Lazarus House, and giving her time with fellow church members at Christ Community Church.
