Jacqueline Ruiz: Soaring Beyond Limits - A Latina Entrepreneur's Journey of Empowerment and Resilience
NAPERVILLE–Jacqueline Ruiz is a trailblazing Latina entrepreneur, sports airplane pilot, and a beacon of inspiration to many. Born in Mexico City, she moved to the United States at 14, where she not only learned new languages but also built an extraordinary career. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish JJR Marketing and Fig Factor Media—two award-winning companies—and author 33 books, sharing stories of empowerment and resilience.
Committed to uplifting others, Jacqueline founded The Fig Factor Foundation, which mentors Latinas aged 12-25, and the Jacqueline Ruiz Pilotina Aviation Scholarship at the College of DuPage (COD). The scholarship supports students pursuing Aviation Management, combining her love for flight with her dedication to giving back to COD, a key supporter of her success. Her mission extends globally, with plans to launch The Fig Factor Foundation in Colombia to empower young women.
Jacqueline's path hasn’t been without challenges. Facing cancer twice in her early 20s, she turned adversity into strength, finding clarity and joy despite the trials. Her philosophy of introspection and resilience continues to guide her remarkable work.
Through the Latinas in Aviation global brand, including books and events, Jacqueline celebrates Hispanic women in aviation. Her advice to others? Begin with small acts of kindness, and claim your role as the “pilot in command” of your life.
