Real Life Hero on a Mission to Help Women Find Peace & Stability
ST. CHARLES–After going through a rough season of her own, Elizabeth wanted to become a safe place for other women. What started as a list of resources to pass on to other women has transformed into The Modern Domestic Woman (MDW) Cares, a local directory of health, wellness and financial referrals. From legal help and social services to positive female communities, mental health, and well-being organizations, Elizabeth is on a mission to help women find peace and stability. MDW Cares also hosts a free moms support group on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at the Batavia Library.
Elizabeth works full-time, is a mother of three, and described by those that know her well as a Real Life Hero who is determined and kind. She unapologetically highlights all the intricate details of being a woman, including the not-so-perfect elements through her women’s support community, lifestyle brand, and media company.
Committed to serving her community, she’s a member of the Compass Academy Parent Advisory Committee and We Sow We Grow community, as well as volunteers with the Illinois Family Violence Coordinating Council and launched the St. Charles Fairy Walk.
She hopes to one day live in Door County and turn her On Tenterhooks novella into a Netflix movie!
