LOCAL MOM, VOLUNTEER & THE MAYOR OF ST. CHARLES
ST. CHARLES–Her friends think she has an unbelievable amount of energy and have no idea how she does it all. Lora is energetic, outgoing, and passionate and brings invaluable experience from her previous role as the 4th Ward Alderperson for the City of St. Charles to her current role as Mayor, leading with the city’s best interests in mind. She is also the Executive Director of Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation in Naperville and Former President of the West Suburban Philanthropic Network.
Lora is constantly encouraged by her partner Matt Hubbard, and her two children, Grace (15) and Quinn (12). “My daughter was a big inspiration for me to run for Mayor, she says. “She encouraged me by saying, Mom, not many people have this opportunity. You do. You should at least try.”
Although Lora holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of Management from North Park University, as well as a Bachelors of Science in Marketing from Millikin University, she depends on other strong female leaders, such as her campaign manager and friend, Colleen Wiese to share their positivity, guidance, and direct feedback.
