10 THINGS TO DO | Easter Fun In the Western Suburbs



ADORABLY FUN EASTER-THEMED LOCAL EVENTS

Spring is here with Easter-themed events and celebrations happening all season long! This year many of your favorite local places are fully open, welcoming you and yours with open arms. Enjoy!


1. VISIT WITH THE EASTER BUNNY IN GENEVA

Geneva Visitor Center • April 9

Geneva Chamber is pleased to bring the Easter Bunny to Geneva Visitor Center, 10 S. Third St., Geneva on April 9 from 11 am-3 pm. Each family will receive one goodie bag. Walk-ins will be accepted as time permits.


2. A HOPPY EASTER EXPERIENCE IN NAPERVILLE

Naperville Junior Woman's Club at Safety Town In Naperville • April 9

Come take a walk down the bunny trail through Safety Town where there will be some interactive movement activities, socially distant sponsors, I SPY game and you'll have a photo op finish with the EASTER BUNNY! Upon entry, each child will receive a goody bag filled with plastic eggs. Mr. & Mrs. Bunny will be visiting – a great photo op for families! NJWC's very own Juniorettes will be selling Easter Bunny Ears for $2 each and Safety Town puzzles will be available for purchase as well $10. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $15/family.



3. ANNUAL BUNNY HOP IN OSWEGO

Downtown Oswego • April 9

The 2022 Bunny Hop will be held from 10am- pm in downtown Oswego at various stores. You must purchase a canvas bunny hop bag that you/your child can color to participate! The bags are $6 each and must be brought with you on the 9th. That is your ticket to the event. If you also want a T-shirt they can color it must be ordered by March 27th - Click here to order. Also if you want a picture with the Bunny, the price is $5 a time slot and the Bunny will be located at 73 W. Van Buren St, at the Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce. Other activities will be happening throughout the day.


4. EASTER BUNNY FUN ON THE FARM IN GENEVA

Windy Acres Farm • April 2, 3, 9, 10, 16

There has been an Easter Bunny sighting at Windy Acres Farm this week! He was snacking on carrots and prepping the greenhouses for the Donut Decorating Class, Easter Planter Workshop, visits with spring baby animals, and of course setting up the rabbit patch for a visit with the Easter Bunny himself. Mark your calendars for fun days ahead!

5. DOGGIE EGG HUNT IN ST. CHARLES

River Bend Community Park • April 9

And the hunt is on for eggs filled with treats and prizes! When your dog touches a plastic egg with their nose, into your basket it goes. Great opportunity for you and your pet to get a picture with the Easter Bunny! Several pet-friendly vendors will be on site. All dogs must be kept on a non-retractable leash (maximum 6ft), be current on all vaccinations and visibly wear tags and be accompanied by at least one person, age 16+. $5 per dog. Starts at 2pm.



6. INCLUSIVE HOPPING INTO SPRING EASTER CELEBRATION

Geneva Commons • April 9

Make plans with your family and friends to join this inclusive Hopping Into Spring Easter Celebration in partnership with Rising Lights Project! Taking place from 11am to 2pm on the Center Green at Geneva Commons, this family event will include:

•Pictures with the Easter Bunny • A sensory-friendly Easter egg hunt with local vendors • Live bunnies and goats with Happy Hooves Therapeutic Farm • Vase painting activity with Color Me Mine • Accessible treats and takeaways, including face painting, cotton candy from The Sweetest Adventure • A Sensory Tent with My Recess Therapy and FVSRA (Fox Valley Special Recreation Association) • Floral arrangements • A spring-themed activity and book reading with the Geneva Library

Mark your calendars and share with your family and friends to join us for a day of holiday fun!



7. BREAKFAST WITH THE BUNNY IN AURORA

Luigi's Pizza & Fun Center • April 16 Introducing Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 16. Get all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, and donuts! They will also be serving orange juice, milk, chocolate milk, coffee (decaf and reg.) AND with each ticket purchased, you will be receiving an egg-shaped pizza kit to take home! They have already selected the toppings, so just grab and go! (no substitutions allowed)

All of this for $7 an adult, $5 for kids, and FREE for ages 2 and under. Make your cheeks nice and chubby and get the fuel you need before your big egg hunt on Easter Sunday! This event runs from 7:30am-11am


8. EASTER EGG HUNT IN AURORA

New England Congregational Church • April 16

Get ready for this fun family event! Children age 1 through fourth grade are invited. Admission and parking are free. Participants should bring their own baskets. The event will open at 11 a.m. in Friendship Hall on the church’s third floor. Table activities, a selfie station and more are planned. After indoor activities, children will hunt for eggs outdoors on the church grounds. Audra Darche, event coordinator, said “This event will take place regardless of rain or shine. Bring your children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends.”

9. DOWNTOWN BATAVIA EGG HOP

Downtown Batavia • April 16

Downtown Batavia’s Annual Egg Hop will return on Saturday, April 16. Check out the schedule of activities below!

10am-12pm - Egg Hop around Downtown Businesses

Peg Bond Center: 10am-1pm Business Booths. 10am-12pm Petting Zoo with Kates Kritters Mobile Petting Zoo 10:15am - 3 and under Egg Hunt 10:30am - Spring Stories with the Batavia Public Library 11:00am - Learn the Bunny Hop with Batavia Academy of Dance 11:30am - Easter Show with River City Church 12:30 - Raffle Drawings

10. EASTER CELEBRATION IN OAK BROOK

The Drake In Oak Brook • April 17, Easter Sunday

Celebrate Easter with a delectable brunch menu perfect for the whole family. Enjoy Chef Esequiel’s carving stations, bakery favorites, fresh waffles stations, an assorted dessert table and much more. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around and available for photos with your loved ones.
