Our team is comprised of some of the best publishing talent in the Chicago area. From award-winning journalists and critics, to some of the most well-educated designers and project managers, TEAM Glancer works hard to ensure that each issue is unique in creativity, fresh in appeal and effective for its advertisers. We realize that to be the best, we must believe we are the best and this is true of TEAM Glancer.
Lindy Kleivo
Editor & Founding Publisher
Born and raised in Lisle, IL., Lindy is the magazine’s founding publisher. She founded the company in 2001 in hopes to fill a niche in today's media marketplace at the community level. The company, formerly known as Everything Magazine, has grown substantially. Her primary roles at the company include business development, and managing editorial and production, however she also works with many of the magazine’s advertisers and enjoys seeing their campaign through from start to completion. She is actively involved with the community via several volunteer efforts. Since its inception, Lindy has continued to dedicate a portion of each monthly issue to stories about local area charitable organizations and people who are making the community a better place to live. Lindy and her husband John have one daughter and they enjoy spending as much time together as possible. Additionally, she enjoys focusing on creative outlets such as photography, scrap booking, and home decorating.
Judy Buchenot
Associate Editor
Judy Buchenot’s work has appeared in many Chicago and suburban publications. She has been with Glancer Magazine for more than five years and began as a contributing writer for many of the magazines feature stories each month. Judy was born and raised in Naperville and is the proud mother of five sons. Judy continues to write features for both The Naperville Glancer and The Wheaton Glen Ellyn Glancer.
Megan Baumgartner
Marketing & Editorial Coordinator
Megan is a recent graduate of Indiana Univsersity with a B.A. in Spanish and Journalism. She joined TEAM Glancer as an editorial intern and is now the publication's Marketing and Editorial Coordinator. She has lived in Naperville her whole life and has 3 siblings - A twin brother, Mark, an older sister, Lisa and a younger sister, Kari. When not working, Megan likes to work on improving her golf game, run outside and spend time with her friends.
Lisa Gangi
Style & Fashion Correspondent, Naperville
Lisa Gangi began her career in advertising in downtown Chicago, and utilized her English Composition and French dual degree to assist in the refining and production of corporate materials. In starting ELLE Language Services, she now serves clients as varied as insurance companies, strategy consulting firms, and computer-industry manufacturers, with their proofreading/editing needs. Lisa concentrates her philanthropical efforts on raising money for the National MS Society and the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. A longtime Chicagoland resident, Lisa now resides in Naperville with her two young children.
Sarah Adamson
Film & Entertainment Correspondent
Sarah Adamson has been involved with the Naperville community for over 30 years. She raised her family here and was a gifted literature teacher in Naperville School District 203. She is a Chicago film critic who attends weekly cinema screenings and authors a website called Sarah’s Backstage Pass; where you’ll find down to earth film reviews from a ‘family’ point of view. Fascination with the film industry led to her background acting in major Hollywood films. Sarah’s worked with stars such as Matt Damon, Dennis Quaid, Tim Robbins, Rachael McAdams, John Stamos and Patrick Swayze. Working in film has broadened her perspective of film production. Her film column with Glancer Magazine brought her to the Red Carpet in Beverly Hills, California where she has interviewed numerous celebrities. She can also be heard every Sat. evening on the radio show ‘Hollywood 360’ on AM 560 WIND. Her Master’s Degree is in Education from Northern Illinois University.
Cathy Cotter
Dining Critic, Naperville
Cathy Cotter is a freelance writer with over 30 years of management experience. As a real estate broker, she contributed to trade publications and wrote advertising copy for several corporations, including some Fortune 500 companies. A Naperville resident, Cathy also enjoys gourmet cooking, travel, reading, and golf.
Laura & Stephen Price
Dining Critic, Wheaton/Glen Ellyn
Stephen and Laura Price grew up in Oak Forest and Chicago respectively. They met at Northern Illinois University, and moved to the Glen Ellyn/Wheaton area when they married in 1994. The couple teams up to write Glancer Magazine's dining reviews. They have 2 amazing children and are perpetually overbooked. When not working, you can find them near the kids’ schools, on a baseball/soccer/football field or baskeball court cheering the loudest for their kids or at the B.R. Ryall YMCA. They also love to see live music of all kinds.
Hilary Decent
Columnist
British journalist Hilary Decent moved to Naperville from London two years ago. Since then she has been working hard to re-establish her career on this side of the pond. In England she was a local newspaper reporter and freelance humor columist for national magazines. She spent five years teaching international students English at a British university. When Hilary discovered she was moving to the U.S. she decided she wanted to return to her first love, writing. As well as working for several local publications, she is also something of a drama queen and following the success of her first musical comedy, hopes to continue to write for community theatre.
Kristen Kucharski

Naperville mom Kristen Kucharski graduated from Illinois State University in 1992 with an International Business Degree. She is married and has two energetic daughters and her house is always full of children. Kristen joined Glancer Magazine with her column titled, Mom's Little Black Book, a monthly feature written for moms who are looking for ways to keep their kids busy. Each month, Kristen unveils many suburban secrets, perfect for the always-on-the-go mom. Her goal with Mom’s Little Black Book is to share with others her own personal adventures. Her days are never dull, her kids are never bored, and her husband is happy with their frugal adventure budget.
Christine Litavsky
Columnist
Christine Litavsky is a writer, wife and mother of three. She's lived in Wheaton since she was four years old, and is now raising her children there. Her work has appeared in numerous print and online publications including The Wheaton Sun, The Wheaton Sport Center Magazine, Christianbiblestudies.com and Next2Eden.com. Christine loves to write about daily glimpes of grace; those often overlooked events that add beauty to our busy lives.
Michelle LeBlanc

Michelle LeBlanc, founder of the Naperville Cultural Center, is also a corporate accounting graduate from North Central College and freelance writer. She is an expert in local and regional media relations and a frequent contributor to newspapers, radio and television. Her monthly column, titled Get Fit Naperville, provides monthly updates and easy tips to getting fit. The concept of Get Fit Naperville is to encourage getting fit in a non-intimidating, natural way. Every month, Michelle highlights quick and easy fitness suggestions that anyone could incorporate into their lives or feature a success story.
Rick Poole CFP, CIMA
Columnist
Rick is a graduate of Penn State University with degrees in Finance and Economics. He moved to the Chicagoland area in 1996 and currently resides in Naperville with his wife Debbie and their 2 little princesses Sydney and Jillian. Rick has worked in the financial services industry since 1993 and has hosted close to 1000 public seminars on the topic of financial planning. In his Family Finance column, Rick debunks the myths surrounding financial planning and works to bring an understanding of how to plan effectively while avoiding the pitfalls that many investors fall victim to. When not working, Rick can often be found playing with his daughters, training for triathlons, and playing golf.

A Naperville resident since 2000, Jane has been capturing children, families, sports and more through her photography business pictures by jane. A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Public Relations, Jane looks forward to learning and growing with Glancer Magazine. She enjoys cooking, gardening, running and of course, taking pictures. When not capturing the action, Jane can be found around town or at a sporting event with her husband and three children.
Steve Vukasovic

Steve grew up in the suburbs of Chicago playing sports, building cars, racing motor cycles and listening to music. Today, he is a freelance photographer who lives in Naperville. His assignments have taken him all across the country – photographing musicians on stage, beautiful models and amazing athletes. He has covered events such as: NASCAR, AMA Superbike Races, St. Louis Rams games, and the Chicago White Sox rally. His work as been published on web sites, magazines, and galleries all over the world. In addition to shooting for Glancer Magazine, Steve also shoots for Today's Photographer Magazine.
Melissa McCreery Riley

Melissa McCreery Riley has been photographing friends and family for years. Encouraged by others to share her talent and passion, she has started McRiley Photography. Melissa has a B.A from DePauw University and a M. Ed from the University of Virginia. Her work background includes working on Capitol Hill, teaching in Chicago’s inner city and in Arlington, VA. She is currently a homemaker, active volunteer and free-lance photographer. Melissa enjoys reading, yoga, running, skiing, golf and is attempting to learn to knit. She and her husband are raising their three children in Glen Ellyn.
