Glancer Magazine Publisher Nominated for
“Chicago Woman of the Year” Sponsored by Chevy Malibu

NAPERVILLE, October 11, 2008 -   Lindy Kleivo, founding publisher of Glancer Magazine, Inc., the parent company to The Naperville Glancer and The Wheaton/Glen Ellyn Glancer, both community living magazines in the Chicago area, has been nominated for Chicago Woman of the Year.

The contest gives Chicago area residents the opportunity to recognize a woman who they feel has made a difference in their life and the lives of others. 

“It feels so wonderful to be nominated for this title. Chicago Woman of the Year sends such a positive message throughout our communities, and after reading some of the many heartfelt nominations of others that were submitted by family, friends and co-workers, I have no doubt that the decision process will be difficult for those judging. These ladies are amazing!” said Lindy Kleivo upon learning of her nomination.

The contest is sponsored by Chevy Malibu. The chosen individual will win a $5,000 Macy’s shopping spree and a donation will be given to the winner’s charity of choice for every nomination that was made prior to March 10, 2008. This week, individuals are encouraged to participate in the first round of voting. They can vote for their nominee of choice online at www.ChicagoWOY.com. Glancer Magazine publishes and distributes community living magazines for Chicagoland suburbs, including The Naperville Glancer and The Wheaton Glen Ellyn Glancer (and growing). Each magazine targets all demographics while its primary demographic is women ages 25-65. Each magazine is direct mailed monthly to the community and includes area features including; charitable highlights, resident profiles, human interest stories, business features, city news and notes, education updates, contests and local shopping and dining information.
