Glancer Magazine Founding Publisher Lindy Kleivo Up for Virtual Adoption in Support of the Naperville Area Humane Society
February 1, 2009 – Glancer Magazine, Inc., publisher of two local area community living magazines (The Naperville Glancer and The Wheaton/Glen Ellyn Glancer) is currently working to support the Naperville Area Humane Society.
Lindy Kleivo, Glancer Magazine’s Founding Publisher has put herself up for adoption, virtual adoption that is! Kleivo has become one of the participating adoptees of the Naperville Area Humane Society’s Virtual Adopt-a-Thon. Friends and family can “adopt” Lindy or any other loving human up for adoption for a fee and 100% of the proceeds will benefit NAHS.
“The Naperville Humane Society is a wonderful partner both personally and professionally. When my daughter Maddie was a baby we found out she was allergic to cats at 15 months and had to find a home for Bailey, FAST! They welcomed him with open arms and he was quickly adopted, thanks to all the wonderful services they offer to those searching for adoptable pets. I am happy to be a part of this Virtual Adopt-a-Thon and am honored to help raise money for this cause,” said Kleivo.
The Naperville Area Humane Society is a non-profit animal shelter accepting cats and dogs. The dedicated and highly trained staff and over 400 volunteers at NAHS offer compassionate care to each animal and work to match the needs of each pet with a family eager to adopt a cat or dog. NAHS offers basic vaccinations as well as medical care for all its animals. For more information about the Naperville Area Humane Society, visit www.NapervilleAreaHumaneSociety.org.
