Sullivan’s Celebrity Bartender Night to Support the Naperville Cultural Center
NAPERVILLE – May 13, 2009 - Local community living magazine (monthly distribution 50,000), Glancer Magazine, publisher of The Naperville Glancer and The Wheaton/Glen Ellyn Glancer participates in several community events throughout the year to help support local charities.
Lindy Kleivo, the publication’s founding publisher was one of five celebrity bartenders who served drinks at Sullivan’s Steakhouse, 244 S. Main St., to help raise money for The Naperville Cultural Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to end discrimination, preserve cultural heritage, and promote peace through the arts. Other participating bartenders included Michelle LeBlanc of the Naperville Cultural Center and new columnist for Glancer Magazine, Kristy Brezinsky of Two K Productions, Kristen Frederick of Two K Productions, Dolly McCarthy of NCTV, Lindy Kleivo of Glancer Magazine, Dr. LaVacca of Naperville Dental Specialists and Hilary Decent, freelance writer at the Naperville Sun, Glancer Magazine and Writer/Director of Holy Neuteronomy.
This event was a precursor to the Networking For a Cause event to be held May 28th, 2009 one the second floor of the Main Street Promenade.
“The Celebrity Bartender concept is very popular and for a great cause. I was so honored to be a part of this event and to be able to use my voice as a local magazine publisher to help generate funds for the much-needed efforts of The Naperville Cultural Center. This organization is a staple of our community and I wish it much success and longevity for years to come,” said Lindy Kleivo, Founding Publisher.
