Cindy Fields Designs
Through the years, accomplished artist Cindy L. Fields has created and found unique items that she offers to shoppers in her gallery on the lower level of the Paw Paw shops in Naperville. After twenty years as a full-time artist, Cindy transitioned her studio into a welcoming space for showing her original acrylic painting and mixed media pieces available for purchase. She also shows eight other artists' works in the gallery. She recently began to offer functional ceramic pieces from local ceramic artist, Earl Heinz.
About three years ago, Cindy was able to acquire the Trollbead line of jewelry for her gallery. This contemporary take on charm bracelets uses colorful Murano glass and shaped sterling silver beads to tell a life story. Each bead has a story taken from mythology, astrology or other life journeys.
This year's discovery for the gallery is Thymes candles. These lushly scented candles feature naturally inspired fragrance blends. Fields also is pleased to offer one-of-a-kind scarves.
Cindy's fanciful picture frames carrying personal messages, names or symbols continue to be in demand as the perfect gift for weddings, graduates or others on the gift list. Like all discovered treasures, finding Cindy Fields Designs is a little challenging, but it is only a few short steps down to the gallery. Allstate insurance agent, Barbara Wilcox agrees that the Internet is a great information source. She knows that it can't be beat for obtaining fast facts on thousands of topics. But she notes that the Internet is not the best place to find insurance. A computer can only answer questions, not ask them, explains Barbara. "An agent can provide a client with a policy based on an individual's situation. So many people are missing out on discounts because they didn't know they were available," says Barbara. Recently a client who thought he had figured out a great price consulted Barbara. "I was able to save him $80 every six months because he qualified for a preferred policy discount," she says.
Allstate has instituted several new discounts within the past year. Clients who insure two or more cars and own property qualify for a preferred policy discount. Clients who simply sign up for a policy at least seven days before the effective date can save with another discount. Various convenient payment plans can also mean saved dollars.
"Having a person who knows all of the options is the key to getting the best price," says Barbara. She also can clarify terms like the difference between collision and property damage so that clients make informed decisions about coverage.
"People know that we do home and auto insurance, but we also offers life insurance, education plans, retirement planning and insurance for the toys like jet skis and boats," says Barbara.
