Subdivisions with Character
Aside from Wheaton & Glen Ellyn’s award-winning school systems and their beautiful, historic downtown areas, the subdivisions are another asset that make these cities such sought-after places to reside in. While some neighborhoods are known for their attractive landscapes, others are recognized for their amenities such as golf clubs and swimming pools. Whatever the perks may be, we’ve come up with a list of some of the great neighborhoods in town. HERE’S OUR LIST OF 7 SPECTACULAR SUBDIVISIONS WITH CHARACTER…

1. Raintree - Glen Ellyn
Bordered by the Glen Ellyn Village Links Golf Course, Raintree is made up of single family homes and condos. Boasting a clubhouse, neighborhood pool and tennis courts, Raintree is in a prime location and in close proximity to a number of schools (elementary to college) as well as regional favorites such as Alfie’s Inn Restaurant, Panfish Park and Market Plaza.

2. Downtown Wheaton - Courthouse Square
A one-of-a-kind community in the heart of downtown Wheaton, Courthouse Square exudes a rich heritage and surrounds the DuPage County Courthouse, a nationally registered landmark. Created by Airhart Construction and Focus Development, Courthouse Square offers luxury townhomes and condominiums designed by combining the gracious living of the past with today’s modern style and amenities.

3. Foxcroft - Glen Ellyn
Built around the beautiful Lake Foxcroft Park, this subdivision stands out for its natural scenery and community connection. From Easter egg hunts to bowling nights, the Foxcroft Homeowners Association works to bring residents together. Most homes are also in walking distance from College of DuPage and Glenbard South High School.

4. Woodland Oaks - Wheaton
Situated on the Northwest side of unincorporated Wheaton, Woodland Oaks is in the middle of it all even though it feels hidden away. Surrounded by mature trees and with the Prairie Path as its southern border, Woodland Oaks has a setting unlike any other. Additionally, residents can walk to Carl Sandburg Elementary School, Cosley Zoo and the Wheaton Sports Center.

5. Legends of Wheaton
This elite, centrally-located neighborhood of only 63 homes offers great amenities such as the adjacent Arrowhead Gold Club and nearby Herrick Lake Forest Preserve. Built by the well known Keim Corporation, Legends of Wheaton is a newer, prestigious neighborhood with opportunity for families to build their custom dream homes.

6. Stonehedge - Wheaton
Located in south Wheaton, the Stonehedge subdivision was built in three different stages and is filled with two-story Georgian, Tudor, Victorian and salt box style homes, along with a limited number of contemporaries and ranches. Made up of both the Orchard Cove subdivision (1985) and the Marywood neighborhood (1994), Stonehedge offers a unique variety, making this area in high demand.

7. Glen Ellyn Woods - Glen Ellyn
With charming homes aged 40-50 years old, Glen Ellyn Woods is located in unincorporated Glen Ellyn and is an eclectic neighborhood filled with curving, tree-lined streets. Known for spacious  properties which range from ½-1 acre, Glen Ellyn Woods is also near top-ranked schools  Briar Glen Elementary, Glen Crest Middle School and Glenbard South High School.
